So, you’re thinking about booking your first yacht charter in Miami? First of all... welcome! At Mr. Sea Miami, we love first-timers. There’s something exciting about watching someone step onto a yacht for the very first time.... yes, that mix of nerves, excitement, and pure vacation mode about to kick in.
But we also know that when you’ve never done this before, everything feels like a big question mark. What’s included? Do I need to bring anything? Can I wear shoes on the boat? How do I even book?
Let’s walk you through it... the real stuff you need to know before you board. Booking is simpler than you think.
Don’t stress about the process. Once you choose your yacht (based on group size and vibes), we’ll give you all the info you need. You secure your charter with a deposit; the rest is paid at the marina before departure. We’ll also confirm the guest count, add-ons, and schedule.
Keep in mind, prices can vary. We run weekly promos, seasonal deals, and package upgrades all the time. If you see a boat you love, lock it in early. Miami books up fast, especially on weekends. The crew is your crew... listen to them.
Our captains and mates aren’t just here to drive the boat and pour champagne (although, they’re great at both). They’re licensed professionals trained to keep you safe, guide your trip, and make sure everything flows smoothly. Think of them as your eyes and ears on the water. Pay attention to instructions... especially when boarding, docking, or jumping into the water.
Your safety is always priority #1. Get to know us before you board.
Check out our Instagram, read the reviews, and explore our content... it gives you a real feel for who we are and how we host. And yes... we have mostly great reviews, but the occasional spicy one slips in. What can we say? The yacht industry is fabulous and sometimes a little toxic... like reality TV, but with more sea breeze. 😄 Please read your confirmation email (and share it with your group!).
We put a LOT of detail in that email. Arrival time, location, rules, what’s included, what’s not... it’s all there. We’re not trying to bury you in text... we just know that the smoother the info flows, the smoother your experience will be. One more favor? Share that info with your group. Your crew shouldn’t be figuring things out at the marina... especially if someone decides to start asking where the jet skis are when you’re about to board.🤦 Party people — do not book a 9AM departure.
We love a celebration. Birthdays, bachelorettes, bottle-poppin’ groups... you’re our jam. But hear us out: If you know your group isn’t waking up early after a night out, please don’t book a 9AM charter. Don’t be the group that rolls in an hour late and then gets mad about not getting your full time.
We’re fun, but we take our schedule seriously. Especially on weekends, when we have back-to- back charters. Be on time... or book a later slot. Easy fix, happy crew, no stress. Respect your crew... and tip them too.
Your crew works hard to set the mood, serve drinks, keep things clean, and handle all the behind-the-scenes stuff you don’t see. They’re not just staff... they’re a huge part of your experience.
If you had an amazing time, show them some love with a gratuity. It’s part of boating culture and always appreciated. Plan ahead... just like you’d tip a server at a nice restaurant, a little extra here goes a long way. Bring the basics, and don’t overthink it.
Swimsuits, sunscreen, towels, sunglasses... check. You’re welcome to bring drinks and snacks, or we can take care of that with our catering packages. Want balloons or decorations? Let us know ahead of time. We’ve got you.
Quick tip: From December to February, a light jacket isn’t a bad idea. Miami cools off juuust enough to surprise you. Got kids? We’ve got you.
We love family charters! Kids are absolutely welcome, and we have coast guard-approved life jackets on board for them. If you’re bringing little ones, let us know so we can prep accordingly. 👉 Important: If you’re a big family group with several kids, please tell your Mr. Sea
representative in advance. Some boats need extra planning for comfort and safety. Bringing your pet? Let’s talk.
We totally get it... pets are part of the family. We love them too! Some of our yachts are completely pet-friendly, while others may have certain restrictions depending on the size of the boat or materials onboard. All we ask is that you check with your representative before bringing your furry friend so we can match you with the right yacht. We want both you and your pet to have an amazing time... safely and comfortably. Last thought before you book...
This isn’t just a boat ride. It’s an experience. It’s the feeling of floating in the bay with your favorite people, music playing, drink in hand, skyline in the background... and zero stress.
So if you’ve been wondering if it’s worth it... the answer is yes. See you on the water.
